Have you ever felt helpless at the minutes before your exams are about to start? Don't worry! Many people have faced this problem some time in their lives.
Steps
- 1Keep at least one hour at hand before the examinations start. This will be enough time to review most of your notes.
-
2Start reading the summaries of all the chapters (and don't panic, you will do just fine). Try to read quite quickly since you don't have that much time unless you have more than one hour.
- 3When you have read all the summaries, head to your classmates and ask them what the most important parts in some chapters are. It will help a lot to know what's the most important part so you can study that part more carefully.
- 4Listen carefully and write the main points described by each summary; this will help you remember the points. Read everything you wrote down three to five times, so it stays in your head.
- 5Answer questions given in previous exams. Your instructor may ask questions from previous exams if you are lucky.
- 6Revise what you studied and test yourself quickly. If you still have some time left, study more.
Tips :
- Don't let yourself be distracted by your friends or anyone. You need the time to study.
- Don't freak out, just stay calm.
- Figure out what you do know and move on. Focus more time on the things you really don't know.
- Make sure that you keep notes safely even after the test/exam as they might come in handy later.
- Try to study a few days before the test next time.
- If you do fail, ask the teacher if you can do extra credit to make up for the lost points.
Warning :
- Don't cheat! If you're caught cheating in school, the consequences may be severe enough to lead to expulsion.
